Been here a few times now and I love, love, love the haggis lasagne which is also vegetarian (initially to my surprise!) Staff are attentive and polite and very helpful. I love the dinky milk jugs (promise I will resist the urge to 'borrow' one )
Steaks were great, but had to send back the Lasagne - such a small portion both in height and depth. They didn't seem happy I sent it back, but the replacement portion was perfect .... food on main menu is pricey but the steak night price is great (paid £25 for 2 sirloins which were lovely) ..
Had a family get together to celebrate a birthday and decided to try out Maggies Bar and Kitchen in Kilmarnock. What a pleasant place to eat and the choice on the menu was great. Our orders were taken quickly though there was a wee wait for our meals to be served up. This was more than compensated by the quality and presentation of our food. Also in the places favour was that it was dog friendly, so we did not have to leave our four legged friend in the car! Will we be back ? Yes PS make sure you are hungry as the portions are large.
Maggie's can be a hit or a miss, sometimes the food can be amazing, other times poor, sometimes you'll wait ages to get your food, other times you'll have it in no time, lovely inside & decent prices, the owners are lovely, but if Maggie's could get more consistency it would be a winner
Terrible service, thought we had been forgotten about a few times. Need to pay more attention to crockery , no one likes a dirty cup. Food was lovely but won’t be back.
